Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid Bookkeeper role where the candidate is located in Guiseley, with some flexibility for work from home. This position is a standalone role, working closely with the Company Directors and the company’s external accountants. The bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining an efficient, organised, and accurate accounts department, across two Limited companies. You will also be responsible for daily bookkeeping and record-keeping tasks and reconciliation of P&L and balance sheet accounts to identify any inaccuracies.

The successful candidate will have previous experience of working as a bookkeeper. You will ideally be AAT qualified or equivalent.

Qualifications

• A bookkeeper experienced in providing accounting and administrative support
• Experience with Xero accounting software would be ideal, but not essential
• Strong knowledge of finance and journal entries (accounting)
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Payroll experience is not required, but a willingness to take ownership of the processing of payroll for the organisation is essential
• An excellent communicator, both written and verbal
• IT confident with strong MS Excel skills
